Steward's Report
Kai Bale – Late scratching at 2:09pm when trainer Mr. Correy Grenfell reported the greyhound to have been bitten by an insect (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Aston Costello, Jye's Jet and Okay Boomer were quick to begin. Rippin' Grace, Shima Stella, Aston Luciano and Akina Jack were slow to begin.
Rippin' Grace (contacted the rail turning out of the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury and a laceration to the left stifle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Aston Luciano (checked soon after the start and turning out of the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Costello - winner of the event.
