Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Osprey Joker upon arrival at the course.
Ethanol Water and One Of One were quick to begin. Dewana Daicos was slow to begin.
Letizia (turned head inwards in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mrs. Brooke Ennis regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Letizia was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Ennis pleaded guilty to the charge. Letizia must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Ethanol Water - winner of the event.
