Steward's Report
Out of competition samples were taken from Got Attitude, Unleash Collinda, Black Viper and Ducati Roy on 22/1/2024 pursuant to GAR 139.
Out of competition samples were taken from Burn Along and Mighty Moose on 22/1/2024 pursuant to GAR 139.
Out of competition samples were taken from Salad Dodger, Pass The Buck, Canya Jackal and Dr. Falkor on 24/1/2024 pursuant to GAR 139.
Trainer Ms. Maria Barber applied for the removal of an early race endorsement for Mighty Moose. Stewards approved the request after Mighty Moose underwent an examination prior to racing by the on–track veterinarian and was passed fit to race.
Pass The Buck was quick to begin. Ducati Roy was slow to begin.
Salad Dodger fell in the catching pen and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Mighty Moose fell in the catching pen, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind Quadriceps injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race blood and urine sample were taken from Unleash Collinda – the winner of the event. A Post–race sample was taken from Ducati Roy(2nd) and Got Attitude(3rd).
