Steward's Report
What A Spirit – Late scratching at 10:14am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to Pyrexia. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Simon Humphries regarding the condition of the greyhound upon being presented for kennelling. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Devine Sal was quick to begin. Glorious Glory was slow to begin.
Spartan's Fury [lost ground at the 100m mark], underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right a carpal sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Devine Sal – the winner of the event.
