Classy Shifter and Lektra April were quick to begin.
A post race sample was taken from Bern's Ability - the winner of the event
Kanji Quebec - checked entering home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shin injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P Hammerstein regarding the racing manners of Kanji Quebec. After hearing submissions from Mr P Hammerstein, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations (no head on vision), the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
Wow How's That, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both gracilis muscles and an abraded front right toe. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Berry regarding Wow How’s That performance and racing manners in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr G Berry, viewing the available race footage (no head on vision) and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Wow How's That unsatisfactory. Wow How's That must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
