A sample was taken from Truvy Bale upon arrival at the course.
Rio Sam – Late scratching at 1:58pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Owen McGovern was fined $100.
Arabian Princess was quick to begin. Unchained was slow to begin.
Hay Riley raced ungenerously approaching the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Corey Fulford regarding the racing manners of Hay Riley approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Fulford, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
There was no head-on vision avaliable in the front straight for this event.
