Steward's Report
Lakeview Lana and Pretty Capri were quick to begin.
Pretty Capri visibly eased approaching the second turn. Underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 8. Pretty Capri was found to be in season. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Kelvin Iles regarding Pretty Capri's racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Pretty Capri was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Iles pleaded not guilty to the charge. Pretty Capri was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Dewana Payout – the winner of the event.
