Steward's Report
Aston Marcay and Target Range were slow to begin.
Hurricane Sophie faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Victoria Sultana regarding Hurricane Sophie’s overall performance. Acting in accordance with GAR 129 (b) Stewards will require the trainer or connections to produce a veterinary certificate certifying that it is not suffering from an injury or condition to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
