Jimmy The Bear, Sinful Sid and Duchess Sal were quick to begin.
Tasman Hope underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Trainer - no apparent injury was reported.
Jimmy the Bear turned its head to the outside approaching the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps muscle injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Susan Richards regarding Jimmy The Bear's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Jimmy The Bear was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Richards pleaded guilty to the charge. Jimmy The Bear was suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
