Steward's Report
Mr D Torr failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Clifford Bale for racing. A fine of $100 was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).
Aston Western and Art The Clown were quick to begin. Aston Hayes was slow to begin.
Broady Bob faltered approaching the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 4, no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R Clark regarding Broady Bob’s performance and racing manners approaching the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr R Clark, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Broady Bob unsatisfactory. Broady Bob must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr R Clark to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Broady Bob in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Supplementary Report 6.11.2023:
Trainer Mr R Clark, notified Stewards in accordance with GAR 122 that Broady Clark was found to have a sore groin and will continue to monitor.
