Texicali Sweety and Kikona were quick to begin. Sasy Skye and Aston Autumn were slow to begin.
Perfect Timing underwent a post-race veterinary examination - No apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to reperesentative Mr. Greg Turnbull regarding Perfect Timing’s racing manners turning into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Perfect Timing was charged with marring. Mr. Turnbull pleaded guilty to the charge. Perfect Timing was suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Kikona visibly eased and turned it's head turning into the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - No apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. John Frewin regarding Kikona's racing manners turning into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Kikona was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Frewin pleaded not guilty to the charge. Kikona was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
