Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Daintree Dazzler.
Dr. United was quick to begin. Dr. Credence raced wide in the back straight.
Dr. Credence marred Minter Elite in the home straight and again approaching the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Judith McMahon regarding the greyhound's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Dr. Credence was charged with marring. Ms McMahon pled not guilty to the charge, Dr. Credence was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Kosgei pulled up at box rise and took no competitive part in the event. Kosgei underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Leigh Jennings regarding the greyhound's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Kosgei was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Jennings pled guilty to the charge, Kosgei was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
