Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Starter Shaun Boag did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
White Crest was slow to begin.
Aston Fonda and Keeps On checked off the heels of White Crest on the first turn; severely checking Aston Fonda, causing Keeps On to fall and Aston Fonda to tail off. Aston Fonda subsequently underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Keeps On also underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg shoulder muscle, left and right hindleg back muscle injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
