Steward's Report
Tinker Conall and Rev Neville were quick to begin. Cosmic Overseer and Side Of Ice were slow to begin.
Side Of Ice raced wide in the home straight.
Tinker Conall (trainer's request) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound and laceration on the left front foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Cosmic Overseer (turned head outwards in home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following Race 6, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms Angela Langton regarding Cosmic Overseer’s racing manners approaching the finishing line. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Cosmic Overseer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Langton pleaded guilty to the charge, Cosmic Overseer is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
