Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Another Houdini on 11 October 2023, pursuant to GAR 139.
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Kennel Attendant, Mr. Peter Carter did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
See Saw Lass – Late scratching at 1:32pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a lost/torn nail. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Westar Alfredo was slow to begin.
Spring Tune (turned it's head inwards and marred Kraken Turbo in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pencil muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Gibbons regarding Spring Tune’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Spring Tune was charged with marring. Mr. Gibbons pleaded guilty to the charge. Spring Tune is suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
