Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(7), Steward Ms. R. Fazulla did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Angelani - Declared a late scratching at 3.38pm by Order Of Stewards as Trainer Mr Michael Kusznir failed to appear at the kennels to retrieve and prepare the greyhound for racing. After considering the matter a $250 fine was issued pursuant to GAR 97(3).
Riverdale Turbo was quick to begin. Redshift Jules and Pass Mark were slow to begin.
Soda Grenadier (racing manner on the turn out of back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hock and left back muscle injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms Susan Richards regarding Soda Grenadier’s performance and racing manners approaching the first turn. After hearing submissions from Ms Richards viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Soda Grenadier unsatisfactory. Soda Grenadier must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
