Angelani - Declared a late scratching at 3.38pm by Order Of Stewards as Trainer Mr Michael Kusznir failed to appear at the kennels to retrieve and prepare the greyhound for racing. After considering the matter a $250 fine was issued pursuant to GAR 97(3).

Riverdale Turbo was quick to begin. Redshift Jules and Pass Mark were slow to begin.

Soda Grenadier (racing manner on the turn out of back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hock and left back muscle injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms Susan Richards regarding Soda Grenadier’s performance and racing manners approaching the first turn. After hearing submissions from Ms Richards viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Soda Grenadier unsatisfactory. Soda Grenadier must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zar Zar Bing – Late scratching at 1.56pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Found A Spot was quick to begin. Rogan Bale and Aston Plus were slow to begin.

Redshift Mike – Late scratching at 10.18am when Mr. Sargon Kando reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Mr Louie Bicchieri failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Cachi for racing. A $200 fine was issued pursuant to GAR 97(3).

The announcement of "All Clear" was delayed to review the race footage as a plastic bag was on the track turning out of the back straight. After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhound was materially affected so as to affect the outcome of the event. The "All Clear" was posted.

Ensemble, Rapidfire Forest and Limburg Argon were quick to begin. Jolly Johnny and Argus Rivett were slow to begin.
