Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Club Official Mr S Boag did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
Curry Classified, Slingshot Sudoku and Quilla Reef were quick to begin. Tinker Pete and Bay Tudor were slow to begin.
Slingshot Sudoku - Checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded right hind pad. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Regal Rhode - Checked and fell on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the right elbow and left front of paw. No stand down period was imposed.
Shanlyn Scout - Checked and fell on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a Cervico-thoracic injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards opened an inquiry into the improper conduct of Trainer - Mr. B. Marshall after Stewards directed greyhound, Regal Rhode undergo a veterinary examination on two occasions. A charge under GAR 156(f)(ii) was issued to Mr. Marshall for engaging in conduct detrimental to the image and interest of greyhound racing Mr. Marshall pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr. Marshall was found guilty and fined the sum of $200 with $100 wholly suspended pending no further charges pursuant to GAR 156(f)(ii) for a 12 month period from today's date. In assessing the matter, Stewards took into consideration Mr. Marshall's history and record in the industry, his remorse for his actions and apologies to the Stewards.
