Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Ruapuke Rocks.
Ruapuke Rocks was quick to begin. Bar Code was slow to begin.
Sir Coleman was checked soon after the start, faltered and subsequently tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 8. Sir Coleman was found to have a left quadriceps muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr John Delaroche regarding Sir Coleman's performance in this event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr Delaroche to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Sir Coleman in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Stacy's Mum underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a right fore split nail, and injuries to both back muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
There was no head on vision in the home straight for this event.
