Steward's Report
Lakeview Buff was quick to begin. Ari Dumbledore was slow to begin.
Raven Nighthawk - turned its head inwards and visibly eased on the home turn, then subsequently collided with another runner and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right hind spike wound. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Ms. Rickii Lee Church regarding Raven Nighthawk’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Raven Nighthawk was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (2nd offence). Ms. Church pleaded not guilty to the charge. Raven Nighthawk was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Big Braveheart - faltered and tailed off from the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right hock fracture and left hind leg laceration. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
