Steward's Report
Moraine Gemma was quick to begin. Aston Farrell, Aston Gaga and Lovisa Bale were slow to begin.
Circle The Moon - underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Lovisa Bale (marred Moraine Gemma in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr Jordan Bryce regarding the racing manners of Lovisa Bale in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Lovisa Bale was charged with marring. Mr. Bryce pleaded guilty to the charge. Lovisa Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
