Steward's Report
Remo Adalli – Late scratching at 8.21am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to seasonal. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Cornhill Hustler and Pictor Natural were quick to begin. Tornado Jack was slow to begin.
Redemption Rock, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Ms S Bradley regarding Redemption Rock’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Redemption Rock was charged with marring. Ms S Bradley pleaded guilty to the charge. Redemption Rock was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to name of trainer Mr H Goss regarding the racing manners of Pictor Natural. After hearing submissions from Mr H Goss, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
A post–race sample was taken from Tornado Jack– placed fifth in the event.
