Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Life's A Riot.
Dot's Redeemer and Life's A Riot were quick to begin. Mr. Blue was slow to begin.
Minor Ash, Butterflies Lad and Dot's Redeemer raced wide on the home turn.
Butterflies Lad (turned its head outwards on the home turn and again entering the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative - Mr M. Lloyd, regarding the racing manners of Butterflies Lad on the home turn and entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Butterflies Lad was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Lloyd pleaded not guilty to the charge. Butterflies Lad was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
