Take A Carnation and Seven Foot Ming were slow to begin.
Tennessee Whisky visibly eased on the third turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Jakota Rohde regarding Tennessee Whisky’s racing manners on the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Tennessee Whisky was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Rohde pleaded not guilty to the charge. Tennessee Whisky was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
