Steward's Report
Elite Gavin and Aston Indy were quick to begin. Bundy Paradise was slow to begin.
Wenda Bale (marred Aston Indy approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the right hind foot. No stand down period was issued. Stewards spoke to representative Mr S. Coulson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Wenda Bale was charged with marring. Mr. Coulson pled not guilty to the charge. Wenda Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Mackinaw Peach - winner of the event.
