Valor underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.
Where The Forman was quick to begin.
Aston Haslam (checked turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury reported.
Mighty Milo (marred Lala Ultra Fast from turning off the back straight and failed to finish) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the right hind leg, no stand down period imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. B. Chapman regarding the greyhound’s racing manners from turning out of the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Mighty Milo was charged with marring. Mr. Chapman pleaded guilty to the charge. Mighty Milo was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted. Mighty Milo was also ordered to wear an anti–aggression muzzle in all future events in accordance with GAR 131.
Lala Ultra Fast (marred by Mighty Milo and failed to finish) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a small skin abrasion to the right forearm, no stand down period imposed.
