Steward's Report
Raceday samples were taken from Trending Xara, Mepunga Warrior, Hill Top Jack, Mepunga Mustang, Gamache, Raven Owl and Andre Bale.
A pre-race sample was taken from Dimora Cruz.
Trending Xara was quick to begin. Gamache and Raven Owl were slow to begin.
Raven Owl and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. R. Church regarding the racing manners of Raven Owl in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Ms. Church, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
Dimora Cruz underwent a post–race veterinary examination (trainer's request) and was found to have abrasions. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race blood sample was taken from Trending Xara, the winner of the event.
