A pre–race sample was taken from Daisy May.
Mathoura Marvel, Kambia Bale and Golden Scotch were quick to begin. Lovisa Bale was slow to begin.
Golden Scotch (checked and fell turning off the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind spike wound. No stand down period was imposed.
Lovisa Bale (checked by Golden Scotch) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
A post–race sample was taken from Kambia Bale – the winner of the event.
