Steward's Report
The start was delayed by approximately one minute due to holding for Rochampton Gallop race.
Dahlia was quick to begin. Riverbank Ben and Canya Wrangle were slow to begin.
Remo Trigger was severely checked entering the first turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg shin soreness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Riverbank Ben faltered and lost ground in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Weeona Rena faltered in the first turn and lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg tarsal fracture injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Dahlia – the winner of the event.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
