Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Bella Supreme.
My Mate Martha was quick to begin. Oddball Armo, Venice Bale and Skipper Jack were slow to begin.
Baldo was checked entering the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Scarlett's Wish underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg tarsal sprain injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Donald Jarvis regarding Scarlett's Wish’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Scarlett's Wish was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr Jarvis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Scarlett's Wish was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from My Mate Matha – unplaced in the event.
