Steward's Report
Westar Commander – Late scratching at 2:07 pm when Mr Jeffrey Britton reported the greyhound to have hock injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
An out of competition sample was taken from Westar Commander on Monday, 3 April 2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
Superb was quick to begin. Navarino was slow to begin.
Superb underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg split webbing injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Zippy Wiesman faded in home straight and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
