Steward's Report
Out of competition samples were taken from Bobby Axelrod, Quinlan Bale, Unleash Collinda, Shima Shadow, Salad Dodger, Kelsey Bale, Shima Dream, Rejuvenate and Westar Commander on Monday, 3 April 2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
An out of competition sample was taken from Flying Pie on Tuesday, 4 April 2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
Pursuant to GAR 75 Kennel Official, Cheryl Hopkins did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Racing was suspended and delayed indefinatley at around 7.10pm due to a significant rain event at the venue. Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were comfortably satisfied it was satisfactory for racing at approximately 7:40 pm. The remaining races were amended to the following times: Race 8 :7.55pm, Race 9: 8:15 pm, Race 10: 8:35 pm, Race 11: 8:55 pm and Race 12: 9:17 pm.
Trainers and attendants with runners in races 11 and 12 were given the opportunity to allow their greyhounds to refresh and empty out, prior to the running of Race 10.
Post–race blood and urine samples were taken from Kelsey Bale – the winner of the event.
Post–race samples were taken from Unleash Collinda (2nd), Quinlan Bale (3rd) and Shima Dream (4th).
