Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Invisible Light.
Swift Carson was galloped on at the 150m mark and subsequently tailled off. Swift Carson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tibia fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Simon Rose turned its head entering the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left fore paw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jeff Chignell regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Simon Rose was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Chignell pleded guilty to the charge, Simon Rose was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
