Aston Honey – Late scratching at 9.40am when Mr. Benjamin Magri reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Nangar Troy was slow to begin. 

Play The Victim uderwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have the thumps. No stand down period was imposed. 

Mr. Gregory Schofield failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Nangar Troy for racing. Mr. Schofield's explanation was noted and no further action was taken. 

There were no reportable incidents in this event. 

Aston Wyatt – Late scratching at 9.40am when Mr. Benjamin Magri reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Internal Affairs and Center were slow to begin. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Invisible Light. 

Swift Carson was galloped on at the 150m mark and subsequently tailled off. Swift Carson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tibia fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed. 

Simon Rose turned its head entering the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left fore paw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jeff Chignell regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Simon Rose was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Chignell pleded guilty to the charge, Simon Rose was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Four Aces – Late scratching at 2.15pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a suspected insect bite on the right hindleg . A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Spring Hondo, Bold Contender and Agronomous were slow to begin. 

Ms Carolyn Jones failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Agronomous for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).

Moscato was quick to begin.

Grumpy Ellie, Cawbourne Group and Grayden were slow to begin. 

Yaza raced wide on the home turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms Jennifer Gill regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Ms Gill, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
