Steward's Report
Mathoura Marvel and Brandi Bourbski were quick to begin. Cabao Elderberry and Stafford Lava were slow to begin.
Mathoura Marvel visibly eased and lost ground approaching the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a chest injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jack Clarke regarding Mathoura Marvel's racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Mathoura Marvel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Clarke pleaded guilty to the charge. Mathoura Marvel must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
