Steward's Report
Skye Patrol and Denis The Menace were quick to begin. Stormin' Frank, Jingle Jangle and Late Mail were slow to begin.
Buck Knife (marred the running of Denis Menace in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr M.Hetherton regarding Buck Knife’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Buck Knife was charged with marring. Mr Hetherton pleaded guilty to the charge. Buck Knife was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
In accordance with LR 40.2, Trainers Mr D.Burkett, Mr G.Cowcher were issued with a warning regarding non–compliance with the GRV Dress Standards.
Trial One:
So Reckless – Fail To Chase – Field of four, Distance: 385m, Weight: 33.4kg, Box 1, Placed 1st, Time Run 22.04. So Reckless – Comment: Cleared All Tracks except, Bendigo.
Spring Martini – Fail To Chase – Field of four, Distance: 385m, Weight: 28.1kg, Box 8, Placed 2nd, Time Run 22.39. Spring Martini – Comment: Cleared All Tracks except, Warrnambool.

Trial Two:
Bear Lee Bond – Six Months – Solo, Distance: 385m, Weight: 28.7kg, Box 3, Time Run 22.12. Bear Lee Bond – Comment: Cleared All Tracks.
