Who Told Sarah marred Cosmic Leilani in the home straight. - Who Told Sarah underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Ronald Fisher regarding Who Told Sarah’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Who Told Sarah was charged with marring. Mr Fisher pleaded guilty to the charge, Who Told Sarah was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Tria in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Head Bin – the winner of the event.
