Steward's Report

Our Tom was a late scratching at 10.27am by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At inquiry, the Stewards issued a charge under GAR 86 to Ms Jennifer Gieschen for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Ms Gieschen pleded guilty not guilty to the charge and was fined $250. The 28-day stand–down on Our Tom was revoked.

Tenerife raced wide entering the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

A post-race sample was taken from Galloping Suzie - the winner of the event.
