Stewards questioned Mr Robert Colpoys the trainer of Remo Rodman in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal from this race. Mr Colpoys' comments were noted. 

Two Reasons was slow to begin. 

Indy went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. My Boy Harvey went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to beign (3 lengths).

Our Tom was a late scratching at 10.27am by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At inquiry, the Stewards issued a charge under GAR 86 to Ms Jennifer Gieschen for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Ms Gieschen pleded guilty not guilty to the charge and was fined $250. The 28-day stand–down on Our Tom was revoked.

Tenerife raced wide entering the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Magic Bee underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Phillip Pollutro regarding the greyhound pulling up prior to the return gate and failing to enter the catching pen. After hearing evidence from Mr Pollutro, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued.

Orejitas – Late scratching at 8.53am when Ms Vicki Karabitsakos reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Dr. Slats faltered turning of the back straight and subsequently tailled off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Hard On Me lost ground over the concluding stages, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and left thigh muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imspoed. 

Tarlee– Late scratching at 7.11am when Ms Jennifer Gill reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted. Stewards questioned Ms Gill in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal of Tarlee from this race - Ms Gill's coments were noted. 

Berdeen – Late scratching at 14:18 on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a laceration on the left hindleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
