The start of this event was rescheduled to 4.27pm due to the abandonment of Dalby thoroughbreds.
A pre–race sample was taken from Earletta Bale.
Zadie Bale, Patch You Later and Departed were quick to begin. Earletta Bale was slow to begin.
Patch You Later (contacted the rail turning off the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left fore and elbow. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
