Steward's Report
Whiskey Talkin' was slow to begin.
Brandeen Jerry visibly eased, turned its head and shifted out approaching the 150m and collided with Gas Man several times to the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Lindsay Fulford regarding Brandeen Jerry’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Brandeen Jerry was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Fulford pled guilty to the charge and Brandeen Jerry must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Ohana Paw Patrol raced ungenerous in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Raymond Floyd regarding the racing manners of Ohana Paw Patrol in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Floyd, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
