Steward's Report
Sig Sauer was a late scratching at 6:38pm by Order Of Stewards after the incorrect greyhound was presented at kennelling. Stewards have adjourned an inquiry into the matter to be held at a date to be fixed.
Custom Classic was a late scratching at 7:36pm by Order Of Stewards. Stewards conducted an inquiry into the late scratching of Custom Classic and subsequently charged Trainer, Ms K. Smyth, pursuant to GAR 46(2) in that Ms Smyth failed to retrieve the greyhound within the appointed time for the greyhound to compete. Ms Smyth pleaded guilty. Stewards found Ms Smyth guilty as charged and issued her a fine of $150. In determining penalty, Stewards took into consideration Ms Smyth's guilty plea, expressed remorse and excellent record over a sustained period of time.
Above All was slow to begin. Above All and Berry Blitz collided on the first turn checking Berry Blitz, severely checking Above All. Berry Blitz and Glock collided on the first turn, severely checking Glock which raced wide. Above All and Glock collided on the second turn checking Glock. Scanez Cee raced wide in the back straight. Berry Blitz and Above All collided approaching the third turn.
