Lala Speed was slow to begin.
She's Magical (galloped on and lost ground on the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
McIntosh Grange (visibly eased and turned head) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right biceps injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Delaine Vigor regarding McIntosh Grange’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125 McIntosh Grange was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Vigor pled guilty to the charge, McIntosh Grange was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
