Steward's Report
Jackpot Jamie and Dr. Dot were quick to begin.
Gage raced ungenerously on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg sesamoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms. Judith Mcmahon regarding Gage's performance and racing manners on the first turn. After hearing submissions from Ms. Mcmahon, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Gage unsatisfactory. Gage must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Rowcliffe Ruslie– the winner of the event.
There was no head-on vision available in the back straight for this event.
