Steward's Report
Jayville Bolt was quick to begin. Madalia Snoopy, Redshift Victory and Victory Will were slow to begin.
Kosgei lost ground, contacted the running rail at the 250m mark and subsequently pulled up. Kosgei underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left and right hindleg abductor injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.Stewards spoke to Mr Leigh Jennings regarding Kosgei’s performance and racing manners at the 250m mark. After hearing submissions from Mr Jennings, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Kosgei unsatisfactory. Kosgei must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
