Steward's Report
Heavenly Sal was quick to begin.
La Brea was severely checked and fell on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a neck injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Super Sketchy was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Speedy Quokka turned it's head inwards and marred the running of Tat Yap approaching the winning post. Trainer, Mr Darren Fisher declined the option to have the greyhound vetted.
Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Darren Fisher regarding Speedy Quokka’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Speedy Quokka was charged with marring. Mr Fisher pleaded guilty to the charge, Speedy Quokka was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
