Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Quilla Reef.
Galen Bale was quick to begin. Idaho Evie and Zappy Bale were slow to begin. Snooping Air was very slow to begin (3L).
Snooping Air (fell after the winning post) and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Go Seek Harmony (turned it's head to the inside approaching the winning post and collided with Galen Bale), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Heather Baxter regarding Go Seek Harmony’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Go Seek Harmony was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Baxter pled guilty to the charge, Go Seek Harmony was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
