Mar's Town was quick to begin. Malt Whiskey was slow to begin. Tutu To Tutu was very slow to begin (4L)
Mars Town-marred Beauty On Fire on the home turn - underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Brenda Kinder regarding Mars Town's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Mars Town was charged with marring. Ms Brenda Kinder pled guilty to the charge, Mars Town was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Swift Whiskey underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have sprained both hocks. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Stephanie Iskra regarding Swift Whiskey's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Swift Whiskey was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Stephanie Iskra pled guilt to the charge, Swift Whiskey was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
