Steward's Report
Long Black Lass – Late scratching at the starting boxes at 7.01pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a right wrist and right monkey injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. As a result the race started 3 minutes behind schedule.
Tinker Fran and Lakeview Patsy were quick to begin. Troy Intention was slow to begin.
Fantastic Luna (checked and forced wider through the first turn losing significant ground) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury detected. When questioned regarding the performance of the greyhound in the event Trainer Mr J. Fletcher explained that the greyhound failed to run out the 715m distance. Mr Fletcher added that he would intend to return the greyhound to 600m races in the immediate future. Stewards noted Mr Fletcher's comments.
