Steward's Report
Rev Up Freddy, Zambora Bear and Together We Can were quick to begin.
Zambora Bear faltered on the first turn and lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Major Bomber turned its head to the outside in the home straight and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Brian Hodgson regarding Major Bomber’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Major Bomber was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hodgson pleaded guilty to the charge and Major Bomber was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
